Each of the four undergraduate degrees offered by Lane CSEE department at West Virginia University requires core courses in math, science, programming and logic design. At the advanced level, each of the degree programs provides a broad spectrum of knowledge in its field, but also provides the opportunity for specialization through emphasis areas, electives, independent research projects, and directed studies. The Department offers the Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. This program will teach students about object-oriented and procedural programming techniques, data structures and database management, operating systems and distributed computing in order to provide them with a fundamental understanding of those concepts of computer science which will enable them to adapt to and function in any current computing environment.
